Being a family-owned and operated business, the team at Eastgate Engineering has built an enviable reputation through their ethical values, reliability, commitment to quality and exceptional service.

Our Beginnings

Eastgate Engineering was established in the 1950’s making quality toilet cisterns from brass and copper and various castings. Eastgate held patents for some of these designs, a few of these old cisterns are still in use today. With the introduction of Plastic Injection Moulding the cistern sales began to decrease.

In 1960 the owners decided to cease cistern manufacture and concentrate on component manufacture servicing all industries. Eastgate Engineering became very well-known and trusted in the area of component manufacturing and repetitive engineering in Brisbane and Queensland..

New owners, Michael and Dianne Bonanno took over the business on October 1, 2013.  Right from day one, the new management team set about improving efficiencies, implementing a continuous improvement plan and invested significantly in modern state-of-the-art machinery. With these additions, along with ongoing staff training schemes and the implementation of a strategic improvement plan, Eastgate Engineering is continuously moving  towards becoming a world class engineering company.
